The Polish Confederation of Private Employers’ Lewiatan and 54 other employers’ organizations have called Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki to maintain the limit on contributions to the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS). A draft budget for 2020 presented by the Polish government assumes an elimination of this limit.
In the appeal, employers’ organizations warn that the elimination of the limit on social insurance contributions will become another major barrier hampering economic growth and the development of Polish enterprises. – What is bitter and incomprehensible – the appeal reads – it will be a barrier that we impose on ourselves. The elimination of the present limit also means an incremental increase in labor costs, which will have a negative impact on the development of economic activity in Poland.
