Statement of the Polish Business Roundtable on the planned changes in the Polish judicial system
As the Board of the Polish Business Roundtable, we express our strong opposition to the way in which changes are being introduced to the Polish judicial system. We are also deeply concerned about the practical implications of the regulations proposed by the government, which may allow for the violation of fundamental values common to democratic states.
We urge the President of the Republic of Poland to veto the recent Act amending the Act on the National Judicial Council. We also call on MPs and Senators of the Republic of Poland to reject the Draft Act on the Supreme Court as submitted to the Parliament.
